It’s release day for my newest design The Big Fluff Cardigan!!! As soon as I published The Big Fluff Pullover I knew a cardigan had to be next! I love the weightlessness of the fabric holding 3 strands of Dimond Laine Birdie creates. This cardigan is knit on large needles meaning it will go from WIP (work in progress) to FO (finished object) in no time!
I designed The Big Fluff Cardigan because I wanted a cardigan that would easily go from workwear to weekend wear. It’s perfect for year round wear especially when office buildings crank the AC in the summer and its freezing cold. The Big Fluff Cardigan looks just as chic dressed up as it does dressed down. Pair it with leggings, sneakers, and an oversized button-down for weekend errands or dress it up as seen here!
The Big Fluff Cardigan is easy to knit and any of what might be perceived as the “tricky parts” have video tutorials on how to do these steps. These videos are all linked in the pattern and my testers found them very helpful! I knit my sample with 8″ of positive ease (meaning I took my bust number in inches and added 8″ to that number and chose the size that was closet to that number), but you could easily wear this with 10″+ of ease for a more oversized fit. Marl it, stripe it, ombre it-I cant wait to see what you decide!
