Now that it’s December & with the weather turning colder I am in the mood for all things warm & cozy! Enter my need for a warm adult beverage. I’m picky when it comes to mixed drinks as they’re usually way to strong for me. So I decided to turn mixologist and I was very pleased with what I created! So much so that I thought I would share!

https://www.polefinistere.com/6ynb1obqd7To measure how much apple cider I needed I took the mug I would be serving the cocktail in and poured the cider into the mug (leaving room at the top for the vodka) and then poured the cider into a pot. I poured a mug full of cider into the pot for each serving that I needed. I.E. 2 servings needed=2 mugs of cider.
Next, on medium low heat I added 2 cinnamon sticks (note if you’re serving more or less adjust the amount of cinnamon sticks.) Allow the cider and cinnamon sticks to come to a very low simmer. Simmer for 20mins. Do not let it boil or the cinnamon sticks won’t properly infuse the apple cider. Turn off the heat and remove the cinnamon sticks. Next add 1-2 shots of caramel vodka per mug serving. Gently stir to combine and then ladle the mixture into each mug. Serve warm.
Depending on how many cinnamon sticks you used/have you can add a stick to each mug to garnish the drink. It’s a nice added touch.
