Seafarer’s Cap

Valentine week continues and today I’m sharing this quick and simple beanie I knit up on Friday evening. Yes, you heard that right I knit this in one night! Seafarer’s Cap is a simple pattern knit on larger needles (size US 10.5) and was the perfect knitting while my hubby and I watched The Dig on Netflix. (Which if you’re looking for a new movie to watch I would recommend The Dig. Its based off a true story and I thought the acting was really good!) I knit it using leftover yarn from my Palladium wrap. Now I have a matching hat to go with it! I followed the pattern exactly and did not do any modifications.

This outfit is very similar to the outfit I shared here. The Grenson hiking boots, Agolde mom jeans, and the Naadam holly red cashmere sweater are all the same. I wanted to show off the versatility of basic pieces in your wardrobe and how changing the accessories can create new looks! I added this tweed plaid shacket as my outer wear piece. This shacket is really fun because you can dress it up or down. I think it has great quality for the price. The fabric is nice and thick and it has beautiful gold buttons that really make it look like an expensive piece. I added these super fabulous rhinestone heart clip on earrings. They were a birthday gift to myself 2 years ago and honestly you’d be surprised how many times I’ve worn them. I mean talk about a showstopper! Every time I wear them people comment on them. They elevate any outfit you wear them with! Plus now I have super fun Valentine’s Day earrings for life! And of course I topped it off with me new ribbed beanie! I just love how this bright pink beanie makes everything pop!

I haven’t nailed down my stay-at-home Valentine’s Day outfit yet, but I think it might be this one. Something fun and festive but also comfortable. Are you planning on dressing up for Valentine’s Day or are you planning on keeping it casual?
